Oh, Chewie . . .
As you may have noticed, most of the action these days is now over at www.cousteautaowebb.com. Lil’ Homey is 6 weeks old already and growing quickly. We are starting to like him a little bit.

No doubt this is the best putt-putt golf shot ever:
For those of you wondering who these people are, and why I have posted this video on my blog, I’d like to introduce you to Richard and Mary Barnes. They are currently Southern Baptist missionaries in some undisclosed location in Southeast Asia. And how do I know Richard and Mary? I don’t.
Richard and Mary are apparently friends with another Southern Baptist man named . . . wait for it . . . Henry Webb, from somewhere in Tennessee. And how do I know this other Henry Webb? I don’t. But in March 2010 I started getting a lot of religious-themed emails addressed to a Henry Webb that was clearly not me. And from some of the other emails in those email threads, I figured out this other Henry Webb’s real email address (which is extremely similar to mine – differing by only one character).
I subsequently emailed this doppelganger Henry Webb to forward him the emails I’d received that were meant for him and to ask him to let his friends know that they were using the wrong email address. He emailed me back to thank me, and to let me know that: ”Of course, I hoped to get the simple email address of my name only. However, you had already laid claim to that.”
I then responded: ”Yeah homey, tell me about it! You gots to move quick to pin down a name on the internets. I was so bummed when I found out that bigpimp@gmail.com was already taken! LOLLZZZZ!” (I didn’t really respond like this.)
Anyway, despite the above, I continue to receive emails from the alterna-Henry Webb’s friends, which I diligently forward along to his email address. And I thought the least I could do was to share with you the video I received from Richard and Mary Barnes, who are some of my most regular unintended penpals.
So there you go. Below I’m also pasting a copy of “Moose Tracks,” a newsletter I recently received from Richard and Mary.

I’ve been waiting for something exactly like this Chrome extension, which lets you click on a button and automatically send something you see on the internet directly to your Kindle. I love to read longer articles on my Kindle, and until now getting them from my computer to the Kindle hasn’t been this simple. Can’t get much simpler than this: http://goo.gl/4b88N
I’ve emailed the developer one request – to enable an option where you can choose to send an article to your Kindle, or to Instapaper, or to both. Many times I’d like to be able to send an article to both my Kindle and to my Instapaper account, as I might not be sure where I will read that article later – on my Kindle or on another computer, etc. If they do that, this will be my one-stop timeshifting for reading application.
I love the internet!
