Update; iPhone Crack-a-Lackin’, Part 2; New iPod?

Well, I am in the midst of grading hell right now. I have a ton of ComLaw finals to grade – 218 to be precise (it was supposed to be 219 but one student didn’t show up for the exam), plus all of my Business Enterprise I (business plan development) plans to grade. I’ve made a little progress on the BEI plans, but none on the ComLaw.

I am frankly worried about being able to get all of this grading done – especially since I have several more exams to monitor – before I’m supposed to leave for home on 10/5. I suppose it will work itself out though – it always seems to. Other than that, not much to report. Pretty much all grading all of the time.

I am in the process of upgrading my iPhone to software version 2.1 and re-cracking it. Version 2.0 has been very buggy and slow for me – with a lot of app crashes and other random glitches. I’m hoping 2.1 fixes those issues. WinPwn 2.1 just came out – right on time!

I have been thinking about getting a new iPod when I’m home. The prices have come down so far and my current Nano is only 2GB, whereas I can buy the new 16GB nano for only $199.

(I think my damn 2GB was $249 when I bought it.) But then I look at Apple’s website and while I can buy the 16GB for $199, I can also buy the 8GB iPod Touch for $229 – only $30 more. And the iPod Touch has built-in wi-fi, can download apps from the app store, etc. Also, the iPod Touch has the Nike running sensor built in – you don’t have to stick the ugly attachment on the bottom of your Nano. Yes, the Nano is smaller and lighter and maybe better for working out – and granted it has double the memory – but if I can get wi-fi, the touchscreen interface of the Touch, the Nike thing built in, the app store access, etc., for only $30 more, that seems like a no-brainer. I can deal with a few extra ounces on my arm while I’m working out. Also, I still have my big 60GB iPod Classic, my 2GB Nano, and my 8GB iPhone – so it’s not like I’m hurting for storage space on my various iPods.
