You sometimes see these grossly overladen balloon vendors around the zoo, parks, etc., even when it’s not Tet, but there are way more than usual out and about right now.

I love to see them – there’s something just so over-the-top happy about someone carrying that many technicolor balloons around! This one was at the top of Nguyen Hue street in front of the People’s Committee Building earlier today when I was on my way to get a haircut.

It has nothing to do with Vietnam – I just happened to see it when I was uploading the photos of Tet and my new house earlier today. It’s one of Cristi and Bernard’s friends’ dogs that was at their daughter Darby’s birthday party when I was in Lake Tahoe last May or so. I love that photo!
