Hugh Henry AKA “Baby Noodle” was born yesterday (Tuesday, September 18th) at 7:47am. He weighed 9 lbs., 2 oz. – bigger than both of his older siblings were at birth! As you can tell from the above photo, A and J have had yet another good-looking baby. He looks a lot like O did at birth to me.
They are going to call him Hugh, which I like a lot and which A and J almost named O back in 2001. [I am confident that his middle name is in honor of me - but I am equally confident that my father believes Hugh's middle name is in honor of him, as his name is also Henry. (And my late grandfather - also Henry - looking down (or up) at us from wherever he is, is probably confident that Hugh's middle name is in honor of him as well!)]
Hugh is healthy and doing fine, O and C are in love with their new baby brother, A is tired and sore but otherwise doing just fine, and I am sure J is as proud as he can be.
I am sad that I am not there in person, but I am thankful for the internet as I was able to speak to my mother and sister over Skype to hear the news, and to see photos via email relatively quickly. I am really looking forward to being home in December to meet Hugh in person!
